Powering Mober’s EV Logistics Through Central Charge

July 15, 2025

Mober Technology Pte., Inc. is a pioneer in the Philippines’ green logistics sector. Since its launch in 2016, Mober has focused on providing same-day delivery services for both consumers and businesses. In 2021, the company committed to a full transition to electric vehicles, making it the first in the country to operate a zero-emission delivery fleet. Backed by strong partnerships with brands like SM, IKEA, Nestlé, Starbucks, Nespresso and Maersk, and recent funding from Singapore-based Clime Capital, Mober has set a clear goal: to operate over 500 EVs by 2026. However, with this growth came a critical infrastructure challenge.

As Mober’s fleet of electric delivery vehicles expanded, so did the operational demands of running a 24/7 logistics network. Their existing charging facility could no longer support the volume, speed, and scheduling efficiency needed for a three-shift operation. This growing gap in infrastructure posed a risk to efficiency and future scalability. To address this, Mober envisioned Central Charge — a large-scale commercial EV charging facility that would become the backbone of their fleet’s daily operations.

Edgetech Industrial Solutions Technik, Inc. was brought in as the turnkey partner for the design and deployment of the Central Charge. Our team delivered a complete infrastructure package, which included:

  • Site Assessment
  • Electrical Feasibility Study
  • Planning and Engineering Design
  • Installation of both AC and DC EV Chargers
  • Civil and Electrical Construction Works
  • Testing and Commissioning

The facility now features 50 units of DC chargers rated at 7kW and 4 sets of DC fast chargers rated at 60kW, with a total of 56 charging ports. The system is built to support up to 200 EVs daily while allowing for 24/7 charging cycles across multiple shifts.

The completed Central Charge hub spans 3,000 square meters in Pasay and stands as the largest commercial EV charging facility in the Philippines. With its high throughput and built-in scalability, the hub has become essential to Mober’s ongoing operations and long-term electrification roadmap. Vehicle downtime has been minimized, charging has become more efficient, and Mober is now fully equipped to handle its planned fleet expansion.

According to Mober CEO Dennis Ng, “At Mober, we’ve been committed to solving the EV infrastructure challenge since transitioning to electric vehicles in 2021. Central Charge is more than a facility—it’s our statement that green logistics is not only possible but scalable.” The project is a testament to what well-planned EV infrastructure can achieve, especially for logistics providers seeking to lead in sustainable transport.

Edgetech is proud to have played a role in bringing this ambitious project to life. Central Charge is more than a milestone for Mober — it represents a major step forward for the broader EV ecosystem in the Philippines.
